How To Update Your Dining Room Decor Without Redoing Information technology All - ii Examples

The dining room decor in these two case rooms needed an update for today's lifestyle and look. They both had heavy, dark elements from years ago, with effects that reflected a more dated mode.

This homeowner had some quality furniture here and, like most people, wanted a fresh look without, hopefully, redoing information technology all.

Here were my recommendations:

I think yous need to replace the rug and the chandelier, most of all. The art is and then traditional, with the heavy framing. I'm not sure that is the all-time selection here either.

I would get rid of the institute in the corner and move the hutch down to be centered on the table and chandelier. Your draperies look neutral so they are fine there and the seat cushions can stay as they wait like a light neutral too.

Here is my recommendation:

Overall, I think she's washed a lot to freshen up this space. She'due south on the right track. However, in this instance, since the rug is staying, I recollect she needs to repeat that color elsewhere in the room.

Pigment - Since she'south already painted the walls and the ceiling looks then vivid white by comparison, I recollect a lovely color on the ceiling would exist fabulous. I'd become for that soft, ruddy rose color in the rug, pull that out and pigment the ceiling.

Table Decor - Something chunky and flossy white hither is in order, again, to break upwardly all the chocolate-brown. I like this concrete pedestal bowl. I of the most expensive items in a dining room are the chairs.

Rarely do I observe chairs for our jobs that are acceptable for the level of work we are doing at under $800 apiece. Most times they are more that, as nosotros customize with special fabrics, details, etc.

Multiply that times 8 or even 10 chairs, and yous have pregnant cost. That'southward why I try to use at least some of the homeowners' dining chairs in a budget minded update, if I can.
